Stranglehold - A worthy successor to Hardboiled

Author's Rating: Rating: 4/5 stars

Pros: loads of action, solid gameplay, great sound effects

Cons: short, bland multiplayer, gets repetitive

Bottom Line:
Stranglehold looks and feels like a John Woo movie. That alone is worth the money. Just don’t expect a great narrative. Read More at Epinions.com

Tearin' Up Hong Kong on the Xbox360

Author's Rating: Rating: 3/5 stars

Pros: John Woo movies meet video gaming in this outrageously violent shoot-em-up

Cons: Gameplay is a 3 trick pony. Forgettable Multiplayer.

Bottom Line:
Max Payne with updated gameplay gets repetitive real quick. Its good but not great. If Stranglehold's Multiplayer was better, I'd have given a 4 star rating. Read More at Epinions.com

All style, very little substance

Author's Rating: Rating: 3/5 stars

Pros: animations are solid, and the showdowns are intense and very cool.

Cons: The game just lacks polish in some areas (the sliding is odd). Not much fun.

Bottom Line:
This just felt like it should have been better. It was very stylistic, but in the end too short and never really held my interest. Too short to buy Read More at Epinions.com
