I bought Boom Blox for my sister for Christmas, and my whole family had a lot of fun with it.  It's a great game for the Wii.  The game mechanics make good use of the wiimote, and it's the sort of game that most people can pick up and have fun with very easily.

The game has a variety of puzzle types.  Sometimes the goal is to cause as much damage as possible, and sometimes the goal is to be careful.  It is possible to get though many of the puzzles with simple brute force, but getting a high score often requires careful thinking and precision skills.  This makes it possible for casual gamers to make it through without too much frustration while still providing a challenge for anyone who wants one.

My favorite part of Boom Blox was the multi-player mode.  I especially liked the multi-player games that involved knocking blocks down.  Unfortunately, there were very few multi-player games, and playing the same game over and over got boring quickly.

Unfortunately, the newness of the game wore off after about 2 weeks, and no one has played much since then.  I think there's a good chance we'll get back to it eventually though.  There are still levels to beat and no one has tried create mode yet.
