It always happens - find something you love and a company stops making it. My favorite, hard holding hair spray stopped being manufactured - and even with me stocking up on all of the sales, I eventually ran out. I knew I needed to find a good replacement , something on the market that I could purchase easily enough. After many suggestions, trials and errors, I still had not found what I wanted ... months went by. I happened to read a review here on this site about TIGI Bed Head Hard Head Hair Spray. I knew of TIGI products, though hadn't used any, but, after reading even more on-line about this spray, got the impression that hair "wouldn't move" once sprayed with this.

I wasn't even planning on buying this, or anything, the day I found it. We were shopping for new work clothes for my husband, and he felt bad I wasn't doing any shopping for me. He walked me into Trade Secret, remembering me talking about needing a spray. I remembered the review and other information, talked with the lady working at Trade Secret, and ended up with what they had available - a bonuses sized 16 ounces can of TIGI Bed Head Hard Head Hair Spray for only $15. (the standard size I believe is 10 ounces)

This thing is huge - and a little heavy. Not heavy enough that you can't use it (of course) but each time I spray with it I jokingly think to myself that if someone ever broke into our house I bet I could use this to knock someone over the head!

Easy enough to use - it's just a giant silver aerosol can with lid. I always leave my lid off because, with this product, it seems too much work to snap the lid back on all the time - you have to hold the can firmly and really press down (at least on mine). Also, since my can is so dern big I have to store in on a different shelf - it won't fit in with any of my other hair products!

Regardless, it's a simple "point and shoot" kind of product - just hold a little away from your head and spray where ever. TIGI Bed Head Hard Head Hair Spray works on my entire head of hair - which is saying something, I have curly hair with straight bangs, and I have found in the past hair sprays that have kept the curl but not held my bangs in place, and vice versa. Being able to use this quickly, easily and everywhere immediately elevated this hair spray to almost a "have to have" status.

What does TIGI say about this product?

I must say I was a little intrigued by the directions - it seems to state that the more you use, the firmer the product gets, and to layer the spray. Well, that's just what I have done and it has worked perfectly (I guess TIGI knew what they were talking about after all!)

I have not noticed an negative effects from using this spray, and it holds my hair well, but still allows me some movement (it's not sprayed and glued to my head or anything). It washes out well and have not yet noticed any build up from using this product almost daily.

TIGI Bed Head Hard Head Hair Spray holds my hair well, with no needed touchups during the day. It is not overly heavy or stiff, and yet I can still tell it's been applied to my hair. It has no noticeable scent or odor when sprayed so won't compete with other things you might be wearing/using.

I feel like I have found a replacement spray, one that I believe in and would continue to use and purchase - one that I would recommend. I bought mine at Trade Secret, and I have also seen TIGI products at local hair salons, and at the salon in our Walmart. Additionally, you can purchase on-line at stores like drugstore.com but there is some question on the guarantee.
