SOLID BOSE PRODUCT

Author's Rating: Rating: 4/5 stars

Pros: Remote Control, Bass, Elegance

Cons: Surround speakers do not work for CD's

The Bottom Line:
I love this system. It's expensive but I have no regrets. My remote control attracts tons of praises. Sound above average. Looks good. I would/will buy from Bose again.

Author's Review
I have no regrets. Expensive..very! But well worth it. I recently just purchased a 51' widescreen TV and needed the best home theatre to go with it. So I thought Bose. Let me tell you that those little jewel speakers fill the room with real sound and real bass. All other models out there do not exhibit real bass like the bose system does. That other "bass" IS NOT REAL. I cannnot believe how the bass could be kicking while I'm playing a CD or Watching a movie and the subwoofer (which is pretty big) does not shake or rattle a lick. Pictures are not falling off my walls and my drink remains unspilt. It's really amazing. It fills the room with a tremendous sound that honestly is second to none. I won't waste your time reviewing the remote. Read all the other reviews about that, simply put it's "amazing".

I have 3 complaints about this system however. #1. The CD changer (main component) does not have an LED screen. It would have been nice to also have a screen on that to show you whats playing etc... #2. The system does not play CDR's. #3. This is the only major fault I see with the system. OK, If I spend $3500 for a "top of the line" model I'd better be getting my moneys worth. Well when you play CD's or any type of music media the surround speakers don't play like the front speakers. I orginally thought that they were broken because I hardly got any sound out of them. I then called the Bose Tech and he said that this was normal and I would never get the same sound that I get from the R,L and C spearkers. I found this absolutley ridiculous. You gotta figure each speaker cost around $400 - $500 and you can't even use them to their full capacity! Oh well. If the front 3 didn't work so damn good I would have taken it back. Now 2 weeks later I can't even tell where the speakers are because the room is filled so wonderfully.
