Great coverage

Pros: Speed and signal strength.
Cons: Set up took a while.
I had a Netgear WGR614. It died while upgrading the firmware. Netgear replaced it under warranty, but I was always having to reset it to repair my connection. I read up on routers and came across two Buffalo Technology routers in my price range. Since they were only $20 apart, I splurged and got the WHR-HP-G54.
Set up took some time as it did not recognize my internet connection right away (Comcast). Once it did, the set up went smoothly. Once it was on line, the reception was fantastic. My cable modem is in the basement and the reception on the second floor is excellent. The speed is much improved, and I do not have the special wireless card that is supposed to make it faster. When my daughter came home from college with her laptop, she remarked how much faster the speed was.
Compared with my last router, I have a stronger signal, faster speed, and do not have to reset it every few days. The other reviews I read were on target and I am glad I made this purchase.
