The Buffalo AirStation G54 High Power Wireless Cable/DSL Smart Router combines the High Power wireless performance with Buffalo's AirStation One-Touch Secure System (AOSS). Uniquely equipped with a built-in signal amplifier, the WHR-HP-G54 produces a true 60% increase in wireless transmit power over a standard 802.11g wireless router. WHR-HP-G54 extends the range of standard 802.11g client devices by up to 70% and improves overall performance by up to 50%. This Smart Router automatically detects and configures your Cable or DSL internet connection. Security features include WPA, WEP, Privacy Separator, Intrusion Detector, and SPI firewall. In addition to fast wireless performance, WHR-HP-G54 features a built-in external switch between wireless router and wireless access point modes.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!!

Pros: To many to list.
Cons: Having to wait for the router to reboot after changing a setting.
The Bottom Line:
This beats Netgear, Linksys, and D-Link by far as I have tried them all.
I have used Netgear, Linksys, and D-Link in the past few years. I read a few reviews about Buffalo that were great so I had to try it. I have about 3 1/2 acres over which I use both a laptop and UTStarcom WI-FI Voip phone. None of the routers came close to covering all of my property much less the entire house. The Buffalo router, however, covers about 80% of my property and enitre house. I can maintain a 125Mbps connection for almost 2 acres from my home!!! I recently bought a second Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 to set up as a wireless network bridge (how cool is that!!!). Since installing the second Buffalo router I get massive bandwidth everywhere!!!!. The NAT/Firewall built in is also awsome and very customizable. The other advanced features are great however this is NOT the router for the computer NOVICE!! The only downside that I have found is having to wait up to 80seconds for the unit to re-boot after changing a setting. If you have some basic computer or home network skills and want a very powerful, HIGH SPEED, secure, and very customizeable router that this is the one for you!
PS To the guy who wrote the bad review: Either you were in over your head with all of the features or you had a bad unit.

UPDATE
************************************************************
I must first apologize as I am new to this site. As per requested here are some specific details as to why I love this router...
1. Port 113: When operating in stealth mode most routers return closed or denied on this port. This blows your stealth connection. This router allowes you to stealth this port or if this creates problems you can choose to have it deny Ident requests. Since Linksys, Netgear, and D-Link didn't allow me to stealth this port I feel this is a HUGE feature.
2. Port Mapping/Forwarding: I know most routers offer this however unlike Linksys if you have a large range you can enter the range from the Home menu. With Linksys I had to enter each individual port in the range.
3. NAT/Firewall: I use a layered approach to my networks security. First I use iPhantom which offers a huge variety of features incl. enterprise level security. Second is my router/NAT and third is standard firewall (Kerio to be exact). I have had a huge problem with TCP SYN Flood attacks. With all other routers this wasn't caught until it hit my computer's firewall but the Buffalo Firewall stopped every attack.
4. Speed and distance: No other router comes close. Even with the Linksys WRT 54 GS w/ Speed Boost and Linksys repeater the Buffalo blew it away. At aprox. 300 ft. I may get 10Mbps but usually just 1Mbps with Linksys. With Buffalo I usually get 48-125Mbs at 300 ft. no sweat.
5. Reliability: Netgear always needed to be reset when switching from wired wo wireless. This seems to be normal based on what other people have said about their experiences with Netgear. Linksys would completely crash after heavy usage (ie. online gaming) and do nothing more than have the power light blink. After digging around on the Linksys website they said this was common and the unit needed to be re-flashed.
If this has been too long-winded I apologize but I was told I didn't give enough information in my first review.
