Background:
I have tried many Burt’s Bees products in the past year and for the most part liked them better than any other balms, creams, lotions, etc. I have used. Not being able to tolerate much chocolate, I asked my hubby to fill my Christmas stocking with Burt’s Bees this past Christmas. Burt’s Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk and Honey was among the stuffers.

Description:
Besides Milk and Honey, Burt’s Bees also carries other body lotions such as: Aloe & Buttermilk, Honey and Orange, Cocoa Butter & Macadamia Nut Oil, Carrot Nutritive, and more. My hubby knows how much I love our /content_337112567428, so it was an easy choice to select this Burt’s Bees product for me.

The container for the Burt’s Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk and Honey is a yellow bottle with a picture of a cow on it. It contains 8 ounces (or 236ml) of the product. The bottle stands upright with a flip up cap on top. The cap also unscrews to get more of the product out (or refill if desired).

This product is not tested on animals. The ingredients in this Burt’s Bees Product are 98.25% natural and include:

water, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, glycerin, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, stearic acid, beeswax, fragrance, non-fat dry milk, honey, tocopherol, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) peel wax, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf oil, beta-carotene, vegetable oil, glucose, xanthan gum, sucrose stearate, sodium borate, glucose oxidase, lactoperoxidase

Does not contain Paraben or Phthalate so it is gentle on sensitive skin.

Experience:
I have used this product on my arms, legs, back, etc. for almost two weeks. After applying liberally (and my hubby stealing some here and there), about half the bottle is gone.

Before moving on, I should tell you, my hubby hates lotion. Sure he will apply it to my back and legs if begged and pleaded with, but mostly he thinks using lotion or having it on your hands is girly. Obviously, his opinion has changed with this lotion as I have caught him applying it to himself several times now.

Anyways, I usually put it on in the morning after I shower, and again before putting my pajamas on for bed. Burt’s Bees directions for this lotion are “Apply lotion all over your body and hands as often as needed.”

The cap easily pops up and lotion comes out consistently as you hold the bottle upside down and apply pressure to the bottle. I wish this product came in a tube; easier to squeeze out and less of the product is wasted.

The lotion is white, like a thick sheet of milk. The texture is smooth and creamy. The formula smells like honey-biscuits baking in the oven. The feel and smell bring calmness and peace as I use the lotion.

Some lotions drip out of the bottle; this lotion glides out and stays in the palm of my hand until I place it on my body. It literally feels like spreading a silk sheet over my body. It is a soft, light-weight and gentle lotion. It easily blends in when massaging it into my skin.

It feels like it brings moisture to my dryness instantly. For example, after coming in from a cold winter-storm my legs often feel dry, chapped, and irritated, but the instant I rub this lotion in, I get relief. Having used it daily for a while now, I have noticed my skin looking and feeling softer. The lotion leaves no greasy or sticky feeling behind, just softness and moisture.
It has been a blessing in these torturous winter months.

Recommendation:
Burt’s Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk and Honey Body Lotion is my favorite Burt’s Bees product to date. I do not know how my skin has survived without it. It smells pleasant, looks and feels invigorating, and is a joy to use. I often hide my legs in the summer, but this year I cannot wait to show off my soft, silky looking legs. If I could give this product more than 5 stars I would.
