Oil is oily, of course
| Author's Rating: |

Pros: smells nice, softens skin
Cons: fragrance does not last
The Bottom Line:
this oil is not as oily as some other oils, and I like it
I hate oil, especially mineral oil or baby oil, but I love bath oil. On the other hand, I hate cleaning it off of the tub. Nowadays, I do not even have a tub, since there is no room for one in my tiny bathroom. However, in the interests of science and Epinions, I tried this bath and body oil in the bathtub of a hotel room during one of my rare ventures off of the mountain. It did not stick to the tub as badly as some other bath oils, but it did leave behind a thin greasy coating. On the plus side, I did not have to clean it, since they have maid service at the hotel.
At home I dab this oil onto my body after a hot shower, then gently rub it into my skin. I like the soft feeling that it gives me.
The fragrance is a mild, pleasant lemony smell, softer than most lemon products. I assume that the almond oil mellows it out. The scent does not linger for more than a few minutes, anyway.
The product
Burts Bees makes a wide range of natural products for personal care, including soaps, lotions, creams and this bath and body oil. They are Earth friendly products that are never tested on animals. I like some of these products better than others. I like this bath and body oil a lot. It gives me the next best thing to soaking in a hot tub with bath oil.
It comes in a glass bottle that holds four ounces and costs about $8. It is worth every penny.
It has natural vitamin E, which does all kinds of good things for my skin. It even makes my face feel silky smooth and moisturized, not oily like some other body oil products. Sometimes I use it on my hair as an oil treatment for dry hair. It washes out more easily than some of the oil treatments that are made for hair, and it leaves my hair shiny and silky.
Ingredients:
Prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, citrus medica limonum (lemon) peel oil, triticum vulgare (wheat) germ oil, tocopheryl acetate, tocopherol, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) extract.

Vitamin E Body and Bath Oil
Let nature give back what it takes away.
How it Works
Naturally restore moisture stripped away by everything from the elements to your bath water. The natural antioxidants in vitamin E, wheat germ oil and sweet almond oil join forces in this rich formula to help soothe, condition and seal in your skin's moisture.
How to Use It
Add one or two tablespoons of the oil to warm bath water, or apply directly to damp skin to moisturize after showering.

Closing thoughts
At two dollars an ounce, this oil is very expensive compared to other body and bath oils. However, it is worth every penny. Besides, it only takes a drop or two here and there if you use it while your skin is still wet. I dab it onto my elbows and then rub it all over my arms from just two or three drops for each arm. Then I dab it onto my knees and rub it all over my thighs with just two or three drops for each leg. And so forth.
In the tub, all it takes is a teaspoon to make the bath water deliciously silky.
So the bottle does last me at least a month, and as I like to say, I can afford it, and I am worth it.

Thank you so much for reading my Epinion!
