I purchased Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the day it was released. I still play the game every once and a while. In my opinion this game succeeded its predecessor Black Ops.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 or as it is most commonly refered to as MW2, is a military shooter. As the title says this game is Modern Warfare, it's the present time period. MW2 has several guns, equipment and perks to keep any hardcore gamer occupied for months.

The Story - Very action packed, almost like an interactive movie at some parts. I found it challenging but fun, although the story is short, the average gamer can probably finish the story in about a week just by playing a few hours a day.

Multiplayer - This is the real reason everyone buys this MW2. The online multiplayer is phenomenal. The ranking system goes from level 1 to level 70. Once a player is level 70 they can "prestige" meaning they can start at level 1 again and go to 70. A player can do this 10 times to reach max prestige.

The Guns - I've played alot of Call Of Duty games, and the guns in this game are by far the most fun, realistic, and balanced. In most games theres usually one gun that EVERYONE uses, I.E. Famas (Black Ops.) But not in MW2, every gun is fair and has its advantages and disadvantages. The sounds of the guns are also convincing. All the guns have a great unique look and feel to them.

The Maps - They relatively small to medium size, although there are one or two maps that offer a long, wide sniping area. But dont worry! Most maps are sniper friendly if you know the right spots. There's really a great balances between close quarters combat and medium to long range fire fights.

Perks, Classes And Killstreaks - 1 word, amazing. Custom killstreaks change the multiplayer experience entirely. The player can now pick from a variety of killstreaks. Some streaks require 2 kills in a row, where the "Nuke" which ends the game requires 25 kills. The perks make your class feel really custom. To increased bullet damage from enhanced running speed, the perk system is quite unique. On top of that players are able to make custom classes to best suit themselves. Choose a primary weapon, a secondary, weapon camo, 2 grenades, 1 equipment, 3 perks, 3 killstreaks and your ready for battle.

Spec Ops - Special Ops is new to the Call Of Duty series. It is basically a bunch of missions for players to do independently or with a friend. They are random missions that offer a challenge aside from multiplayer and the story. You could be driving a snow mobile in the arctic one minute and be fighting gangs Favela

The Bad - Theres not too much I found about this game to actually be bad. Loading times are decent. Although the graphics still have room to be improved. My only big issue is the lack of an ingame invite system. The user has to hit the PS button, go to their friends list and then send the invite from there. The overall gameplay experience is great, no complains here.
