Pros: 16:9 shooting - excellent macro shooting - color fidelity - decent video capture
Cons: Color and luminance noise is high - slow flash firing reflex
Without this camera, shooting photos of children playing would be near impossible.Try using a Nikon D50 on an inflatable gym toy with 20 children and see how many shots one would get out of it. The A1100 did a very good job under difficult cicumstances, and paid for itself in one day.
