Pros: Great Pictures, excellent battery life.
Cons: Not at all water resistant. Large and bulky. Harder to use than the Olympus.
We purchased the Powershot D10 for a trip to Castaway Cay (Disney Cruise). After about 10 minutes in the water, the LCD went dark and then the camera died shortly thereafter. The leak occurred while I was at the surface. The lagoon itself was max 7.5 meters and the camera is rated at 10 Meters. Obviously a defect. The Cruise ship camera shop was nice enough to open up early and sell me an Olympus 3000 which was rated at 3 meters and *was* waterproof. Moral of the story - dunk your new camera before going on a trip. While Canon offered free repair, I do not need 2 cameras.
