Pros: The good news: The Canon SX210 accommodates almost any type of memory card.

Cons: The Bad news: It has no internal memory and a memory card isn't included.

The Bottom Line: 
I would recommend the Cannon SX210 IS because of the picture quality, the compact size and the creative options it allows us.

My experience with the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS Digital Camera has been a positive one. Canon is one of the leading manufacturers of quality optical and imaging products, and the PowerShot SX210 IS Digital Camera is no exception. It possesses a 28mm wide angle and 14X zoom lens that has the characteristics of a large camera within its compact structure. The focal length of the lens used in this camera ranges from 5.0 mm to 70 mm.
 I am most fond of the optical image stabilization, the option of the automatic and manual control, HD recording and large LCD display screen features. My preference of the SX210 is purple, but the one we own is gold. You can also purchase it in black.

It was my husband’s fiftieth birthday and the whole family went on a cruise to celebrate it. Our daughter bought him this Canon SX210 IS digital camera as a gift just before the cruise, and we were happy she did! We’ve printed beautiful photos from this camera, which made our cruise even more memorable. The 14.1 MP resolution captured the vivid blue ocean and the colorful cruise ship décor beautifully.
Along with the covetable still photos, the Canon SX210 IS digital movie mode is as impressive with the stereo system recorder and image zoom effects. We were able to take in the live entertainment aboard the ship with great clarity.
Because we had such different filming situations, the i-Contrast and Smart Flash were good features to have. Fish-eye, Low Light, Miniature Effect, Smart Shutter and Self Timer are a few more attributes we like. The self timer options are 2 seconds and 10 seconds. The Canon SX210 IS can also continuously shoot at the rate of 0.7 frames per second.
The connections available on our Canon SX210 are: High-speed USB, HDMI connector and AV out. The software available allows you to share videos on the internet. It can be attached directly to the computer and voila! You have instant pictures!
In addition to the connectors, the Canon PowerShot SX210 comes with a NB-5L lithium-ion battery, (lasting almost six hours for us) and indicative of the PowerShot camera batteries, battery charger, CD instructions, hard copy manual and wrist strap.

As for the memory card, we purchased a class 4 memory card since we wanted to make ample use of the recorder, but we probably should have gone even a little higher.
Our daughter paid $295 for our Canon PowerShot SX210 IS .
