I would highly recommend this camera to a beginner/novice or to an advanced user simply because the camera is easy to use while taking spectacular photographs and HD video.

I have had nothing but good things to say about this camera.  I bought it a few months back because of the large 3" display monitor.  Once I got it home and read the manual I discovered a whole host of options that I would not have expected.  Take for instance, the many picture modes that adjust the picture quality automatically.  It has an option to take an EBay picture of an item for ease of uploading to Ebay (lower mega pixel) while it also has a high mega pixel mode for taking family pictures for the holidays.  A surprise to me when I purchased it, it takes HD video!  The menu buttons on the back of the camera are easy to operate by any begginer and the large screen size eases the strain on your eyes.  This camera even has a menu button that when pushed automatically sets the "best shot" mode of what your taking a picture of.   A long life rechargeable battery and battery recharger come with the unit itself.  When you are ready to download the pictures to your computer, the process is just about as easy and plugging the cord from the camera to your computer.  The software and computer do the rest!  It is just that easy!  This camera may be small but far exceeds most digital cameras as far as functionality and speed.
