Cons: Price, Tube is big, Color is a little dull

I would buy it and try it although I'm still waiting for the big "wow" factor of this mascara though.

While on vacation I was able to visit the Sephora store and it was like a dream come true! Someone like myself could spend hours upon hours in that makeup heaven. Lucky for me, I came across a mascara that made my visit that much better.

When I think Dior I think European, classy, and elegant. I believe the name represents high quality. Dior carries fragrance, cosmetics, fashion, and accessories. Even the website, www.dior.com gives off this type of aura as well.

The CD Diorshow Mascara comes in a silver box. The top shows the product name and the color, which is 090 Black. It is 0.38 Fl. oz. On the box it lists the ingredients:

Aqua Water, Glyceryl Stearate, C18-36 Acid Triglyceride, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Stearic Acid, Copernica Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Silica, Glyceryl Stearate, Isostearic Acid, Shellac, Myristic Acid, Triethanolamine, Glyceryl Hydrogenated Rosinate, PVP/VA Copolymer, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Lecithin, Xanthan Gum, Methylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum (Fragrance), Diazolidinyl Urea, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Tetrasodium EDTA, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Geraniol, Citronellol, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde

The mascara tube itself has a silver cap with CD on the top and the rest of the tube is black with Dior all around the top part of the tube in silver along with Dior and Diorshow in silver.

The mascara to me is a little bigger than mascaras I usually purchase, which makes me think it may be a little bulky to carry in my purse. The whole tube is 5 inches long, with the brush part just being 1 inch.

The scent of the brush reminds me of a mix of baby powder and a chemical. Not that it should matter, after all who will smelling your eyelashes? The brush is thick, thicker than most mascara brushes I have used before. I put one coat on my top lashes and then wait a few minutes to dry and add another. I do the same for my lower lashes however I do not add a second coat. Reviews I read about this product before purchasing said that I would only need one coat. I tend to think one coat is still not enough so I do more. The amount of coats you put is basically up to you and how vibrant you would like your lashes to look. I like mine to stand out.

I did notice a tiny bit of clumping, but definitely by far not as much as other mascaras I have tried from major brands such as Cover Girl or Maybelline. I did notice however that although it is said that this product does not smudge or flake off, on the corners of my eyes I did notice the product flaked off a little after an hour or so. I would have also liked for Dior to sell a blacker black, this black seems a bit dull and not as bold as some mascaras on the market.

I haven't received any direct compliments on my eyelashes yet but I hope I will soon to make me feel better about spending $24.00 for mascara.

There is a waterproof one as well and this mascara comes in 3 colors: Black, Royal Blue, and Warm Brown.

It won in 2007 as Best of Sephora (a top seller I suppose) and you can purchase at Sephora, Amazon.com, and Nordstrom to name a few.

I will continue to use this mascara for now until I eventually and hopefully come across that coveted one that does not clump at all! I can't imagine the price of it though.
