Author's Rating: Rating: 4/5 stars

Pros: Corny yet fun cut scenes.Well balanced and unique factions. The new interface  is spectacular

Cons: Clumsy Co-operation systemteeny weeny, yet annoying glitches

The Bottom Line:
Red Alert 3 is a good buy, if you are a fan of the main series, but to be honest it brings nothing new to the stage

Author's Review
After years of waiting, the awaited sequel to the legendary red alert 2 has finally arrived. Now featuring a neo-imperial, Japanese faction, Red alert 3 comes with a far greater flare than expected. The opening video, shows how the soviets, messed up time, and were forced to face the wrath of the Empire (almost entirely similar to the empire from star wars) The unit and building designs are fantastic, although slightly childish. Many of the units are simply refurbished from red alert 2, yet many such as the attack bear, bring a new bang to them. Perhaps red alert 3's biggest feature is the campaign. Although the cutscenes utilize completely corny paleography and make one question the mature rating, the story is nonetheless highly indulgible. they bring back the unique multiple storyline, as in red alert 3, and give you the satisfaction of seeing your favourite faction succeed. The objectives are highly well though out and indulging. Red alert 3's multi player system is arguably its biggest fault. The system makes it highly difficult to setup an online match. The game play in Red Alert 3 is slightly different, yet similar to most realtime strategy games. The unit cap, is a highly annoying, feature as it limits the sheer joy of enormous, Goliath armies that encompass the map. The graphics involved have been highly improved, although they do tend to hurt you eyes. An interesting feature is the outline, which allows you to quickly spot individual unit groups for a clutter of units.
