Outstanding notebook webcam

Pros: Excellent image, easy to use software
Cons: Clip won't hold onto much other than top of laptop screen.
The Bottom Line:
One of the best web cams I've ever used.
I picked up a couple of these over the last few months one, free after rebates and the other for $5.00 after rebates from different vendors.
I brought the second as I was so impressed with the first.
I've tried for years to get a decent low cost web cam and although I usually go cheap they all have the same problem. They don't work worth a damn in typical office/hotel lighting situtations.
This Creative notebook cam though does an excellent job in normal ambient room lights. The images look bright and vibrant and it compensates nicely for the white balance without any interference from me.
The unit comes with a little ear piece and microphone that is a bit cheesy but gets the job done.
Software is easy to install and use.
I've tried it with both MSN Messenger and Yahoo with no troubles.
While I haven't found much use for it yet the camera can rotate through 270 degrees so you could use it to show an audience while you are upfront talking.
The only possible downside is that the clip that hold the webcam on the laptop is kind of small and will only really hold onto a laptop screen. If you want to use this on a desktop system you'll have to get creative with some velcro or double stick tape. However it is very small as it is intended to be portable.
Overall it is very impressive and given that you can often pick it up relatively cheap its a good deal.
