Yes, I am writing another review about a Britney Spear’s perfume. What can I say I got roped into her product line and surprisingly I like it! Although I don’t condone her misgivings as of lately, I’ll have to admit she does have keen sense on what products to endorse. Please see my other reviews on her “Fantasy” line.

Well “Curious” was the perfume that started it all. I received a small vial sample in 2004, when the product was first being promoted. And being that I was curious I gave it a try. Instant love for the perfume and I had to have it!

Originally marketed with the tagline, “Do you dare?” The fragrance is a white floral scent. Its notes are Louisiana magnolia, golden Anjou pear, lotus flower, tuberose, star jasmine, pink cyclamen, vanilla-infused musk, sandalwood and blonde woods. Although it contains floral attributes, the scent itself does not outwardly scream flowers. As I have stated in the past I am not a florally girl, I don’t like to be drenched in what I call the funeral parlor smell. I like my fragrances to be sweet, feminine, and not overpowering.

Britney’s line of fragrances has successfully achieved this. It is just enough to know you are wearing perfume and have others recognize that you are also without being sickeningly nauseating. And the scent will last you through the day, every so often you will get a sweet whiff of the perfume. This perfume receives many compliments because it is really unlike anything else on the market, and I am almost ashamed when I wear it and people ask what it is.

I own the one ounce, eau de parfum spray that retails for about $42. The packaging itself is beautiful and one you will love to display on your dresser. The bottle makes me think of “I Dream of Jeannie.” The bottle is a robin’s egg blue, in clear glass with a kind of disc like shape to it. Around the neck of the bottle is a “necklace” of two pink hearts dangling off a “crystal” chain. It is simple feminine and an interesting piece. Definitely not a boring bottle.

I purchased my first bottle on a trip to New York City at the Sephora store. At that time it was exclusive to up scale perfumeries. Since then I have seen it available at Macy’s Wal-Mart, CVS, and a variety of different retailers that sell perfume.

There are also many accompanying products that go along with the perfume, such as body wash, purse sized roll ons, and lotions.

If you’re curious, I suggest you give this one a whirl. Just stop and sniff the next time you are out shopping. A little curiosity never hurt anyone.
