It's up to you to help Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong recover DK's stolen banana hoard from the evil Kremlings and their minions of mindless lackeys. To do so, you'll have to traverse through six spectacular worlds teeming with trouble. Alternate between the strong (but slow) Donkey Kong and the more agile Diddy Kong as you run, swim, roll and jump your way through beautiful environments with action-packed challenges and secrets galore. At the conclusion of each world, DK and Diddy square off against nasty bosses including easily-angered beavers, bumble bees, vultures and many more. Ultimately, the pair will have to go toe-to-belly with the leader of the Kremling army, King K. Rool.

Donkey Kong Country 2 Is A Great Game
| Author's Rating: |
|
Pros: new features
Cons: music quality suffered a bit in the GBA version
The Bottom Line:
Buy this game if you have ever played the original and want it on the go.
I have to say that this is one of my personal favorites. I do prefer it on the original SNES version of the game, but this one come pretty close to the original. This game is very fun for gamers of all ages. I have played Donkey Kong Country 2 since I was a small child and I still love it today. It is full of adventure and secrets to explore. The GBA version has added some new features such as the minigames and the photo album. These are added fun. This game also has sort of a "cheat" screen to help the player keep track of every detail in the game to make sure they complete it 100 percent. The music is mostly the same as the original, which was amazing. I could gell that the game producers had to redo the music to be played through the speakers of the handheld system, but they did a very good job recreating them. The maps are also pretty similar to the original. They just seemed to be more zoomed in. This is most likely because there is so much to try and fit in such a small screen. When I bought DKC2 I was only about 16. Back then the price was much higher than it is now, but I think it was worth the price. It cost about thirty dollars in 2006 or 2007. I bought it when it first came out (I can't remember the exact year) on the GBA.
