DYSON DC 21 AMAZING is an understatement

I have heard so much about this vacuum, so I had very high expectations. I was debating whether or not to buy this model or the Ball animal DC 15. I went to a local Sears to actually try them out. Any Dyson vacuum you get, you can't go wrong with - its just a matter of personal taste. I personally am not a big fan of uprights - they seem bulky to me, hard to carry (especially upstairs) and I don't like that you can't vacuum under low furniture with them. Now dyson has a tube that comes out of their upright (but that is not what I decided to go with). As soon as I saw the DC 21 canister - I Loved it. Brought it home, my kids loved how futuristic it looked, and were fighting each other to see who could vacuum first. No kidding !!

Plugged it in - vacuumed the 'clean' family room wall to wall carpeting. IN COMPLETE SHOCK the entire canister was FULL within seconds !!!! I mean, the room looked clean before, and to see what that baby sucked up - it left me speechless ! The kids were so excited about it, they wanted to vacuum the whole house (and did, and have done so in the past 2 weeks)!!! The power behind this is phenomenal. I previously owned a Miele White Star (expensive vacuum) and it truly is garbage in comparison. There is no comparison - this Dyson blows that expensive german vacuum away.

It is worth every penny. Dyson covers it with a full 5 year warranty. There are no belts to break or repair, no bags to replace - ever, no expensive filters to replace ever. There is a removable HEPA filter (the best) that can be washed and dried every 6 months. This vacuum will not only leave your floors spotless, it will leave the air in your home cleaner than when you started (with that amazing HEPA filter). Other vacuums blow out dirty air and shoot out dust particles - NOT THIS ONE. This suction is so powerful, it actually sucked a sock up accidentally (it was 3 inches away and pulled it right in!!!) Luckily I stopped the vacuum and just pulled it out of the wide motorized brush bar (very large, in case something ever did get pulled in there, to get it out).

I can't say enough about this amazing vacuum. My brother owns the DC11 (the canister model that came out before this new generation one DC21) and after these past years he still raves about it. Dyson makes an AMAZING product and I will NEVER in my life switch to another brand of vacuum. I am hooked. You will love it.
