I definitely recommend buying this product, just make sure you have a pretty decent internet connection.
Every year I make sure I buy FIFA when it comes out in the early fall. This time, I forced myself into buying the Playstation 3 for my favorite series of sports games. Having always loved FIFA, the 500 some odd dollars spent on the system, game, and controllers seemed a bit much, however, in the end it seems well worth it! A huge football (soccer) fan myself, I am very happy with the improvements made on FIFA 07. The controls have changed quite a bit but are easy to adapt to. There are many moves which require a bit more than a push of a button -- the tougher the move would be in real life, the harder it is to perform on the PS3 (for instance, the "rainbow"). The selection of teams is absolutely tremendous (as usual), with the addition of yet more leagues and teams. The online play is also very good in FIFA 08, with the addition of "interactive leagues," in which players are allowed to join and create leagues. However, the one negative I could address is that with Online Play and FIFA being a very 'international' game, the connections with many people overseas seem lacking what many of us have.
