Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover is a lightweight formula works quickly and gently to remove powder eye shadow, mascara, and other eye makeup.  It leaves no oily residue, so you can even reapply eye makeup immediately after use.

The directions for use say to sweep over closed eyelid with a cotton pad, then wait a few seconds and wipe gentle downward.

This comes in a pretty, 3.4 oz. dark blue plastic bottle with a twist-off cap, and sells for $15.50, which yes, is on the expensive side.

This is oil-free, dermatologist tested, ophthalmologist tested, and suitable for contact lens wearers.

~ My Experience

I don't usually wear heavy eye shadow, but for evenings I will often apply a powder eye shadow, eyeliner, and go a little heavier on the mascara.  My favorite mascara is waterproof, and waterproof mascara is more difficult to remove.  Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover really takes off that waterproof mascara in a hurry and with very little scrubbing or rubbing.  It also quickly and easily removes eye shadow and liner.

This has no real discernible scent, and has a very liquid, water-like consistency.  It seems very clear in color.  I use a cotton pad to apply, which works just fine.  It doesn't leave any oil or greasy residue, yet my skin feels soft, clean, and maybe lightly hydrated.  It certainly does not dry out the skin around my eyes.

Getting mascara off can be a chore, but it seems to quickly melt away when I use this very gentle makeup remover.  It never stings my eyes, or feels irritating in any way.  I got this because of a Gift With Purchase, but when my bottle is gone I think will repurchase, because this stuff is awesome!
