Estee lauder have come up trumps with their Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

Estee Lauder have produced an excellent product, for removing eye makeup, which really works.

I went to Dillard's departmental store when they had a promotion.  You spend $29 or more on Estee Lauder products, and get $88 of free products.  So I purchased my usual Estee perfume, or cologne, to receive them.

In my bag of 'goodies', I received a sample of Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover. This is a good size sample, as it is three and three quarter inches tall, an inch and a half wide at the top, and tapers down to 1 inch at the bottom. In the picture the color of the bottle looks blue, but my one is a purple color. I have double checked on the Estee Lauder website, and this is the same product.

When tilting the bottle it looks as if there is water in the bottle. The first thing I did when I opened it was the smell test, and there was none. The second one was to tip a small amount of the liquid onto my fingers, and it felt just like water, there was no oil, or greasy feeling to it.

So when I was ready for bed, I got a small cotton ball, and opened up my Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover. There is a half inch circular opening at the top, and I had to be very careful not to put too much gentle eye makeup remover on the cotton ball, and waste it. I would have preferred a much smaller hole.

The liquid went into the cotton ball, and I closed one eye, and took it across my eyelid and my eyelashes. I then did the same with the other eye. My eyelids were wet and I wasn't quite sure whether I needed to do anything else. I had no instructions with it, so I quickly went On-line. From the Estee Lauder website is states:

"How to use

Sweep over closed eyelid with cotton pad. Wait a few seconds, then wipe gently downward.

Follow with your cleanser and toning lotion, then your Estée Lauder Repair Serum, Moisturizer and other skincare."

I then got a clean cotton ball and wiped it over my eyelids, this time in a downward motion.  I couldn't believe that it took off the black mascara.  My eyelashes are brown, but with most makeup removers, they still remain black.  This means that the other products aren't doing the job.

This product is oil-free, dermatologist-tested, ophthalmologist-tested, and is suitable for people who wear contact lenses.

I felt my eyelids after using the product and they weren't oily, greasy, or dry.  I just knew that they were free of makeup.

The nights I go dancing I always have a double coat of mascara, so I make sure that I use the Gentle Eye Makeup Remover on those nights.
My sample bottle will last a couple of months, and then I will seriously have to think whether I am prepared to pay $15.50 for the 3.4 ounce bottle.  I may buy it, with another product, when they have free samples again.  This is a keeper for me.
