The Genie BGT-31 (formerly the NaviGPS) is a rugged hand held GPS unit with built-in Bluetooth. It is waterproof and can even float! Feature rich GPS receiver The BGT-31 places all the GPS features at your fingertips, with some great additional extras. Not only can you view all the relevant information about your trip: average speed; top speed; distance covered (on the current trip); overall distance covered; and trip time, but you can also log this information and store the tracking information. The BGT-31 stores tracks on its internal memory, and optionally on an SD memory card, up to 2GB. You can set warnings. For instance, a buzzer will sound if you exceed the speed, or approach a certain point on your trip that you have set. You can see what heading you are on; what the bearing is (of a point you selected); departure time; arrival time; time and distance to the next point of your trip; etc. Various grid references are supported, including OSGB Grid reference format, specifically for the UK. The BGT-31 GPS is very light in weight, waterproof, and floats. Its battery will last for ages - up to 46 hours in power saving mode! It's very affordable and packed with all the features of a much more expensive GPS unit. It is waterproof to IPX7 standards (can be immersed in water for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter) and, it floats! Although the specifications say it is waterproof, please use an AquaPac if using this on or near water. The GPS can be connected to a computer via the USB port. Data (tracks, waypoints etc.) can be uploaded to the computer from the GPS or from the GPS to the computer. Charging of the battery can be done via the supplied mains power supply, optional car charger, or the USB port of the computer. The BGT-31 is identical in functionality to the GT-31, with the addition of BlueTooth. The BGT-31 can record up to 2GB of tracks on a SD memory card. Minimize
