With HTC Hero, personalization reaches a level never before possible. Rather than burying important content under layers of menus, the HTC Hero lets you put it at glance view, with a selection of widgets that can be placed right on the home screen. The widgets themselves can be personalized with a variety of designs and sizes that best match your personality.

Love my Hero

Pros: - customizable
- easy to use
Cons: - too long to find and connect to wifi
The Bottom Line:
Love this phone for the ability to custom it to fit exactly what you need.
My husband and I just upgraded our phones and we both chose the HTC Hero. My husband originially wanted a Blackberry, but after hearing the salesperson describe both phones, he changed his mind and jumped on board my Hero train. What won him over was the hundreds on free apps available.
I originally wanted the Hero based simply on the look. It is cool! I love that it is shaped with a bit of a curve. It just sits so comfortably in your hand. It is big enough to see, but still small enough that you can use one hand for everything.
It is so customizable, and yet it is still easy to learn how to use. I love that you have 7 home page screens that you can fill with anything you want. I have my main home page with the standard clock and apps that I use all the time. I have one page for games, one page for calendar, one page for website bookmarks and one page for text messages. And I still have 2 pages that I haven't used yet! It is so easy to have everything within finger's touch.
The Market is great for finding apps. I do wish that the categories were broken down a bit more so that you aren't looking through page after page of apps for something that catches your attention. Or that you could choose how they were sorted, instead of just by date or popularity. Alphabetize would be great.
