I purchased this monitor from tigerdirect.com for my computer. I use it to play games, watch movies, and do a plethora of various computer tasks. It supports hd (720p), has dvi, and vga outputs, and has quality cables for each. It also included a audio cable to use with the internal speakers, which have no sound quality whatsoever, but would be better than nothing.

My games run very smooth on this monitor, no ghosting, the response time is great. The image it displays is comparable to some of the samsung tvs in it's price range. The darks are very dark on games when the brightness is turned to zero. This monitor can go extremely bright, and is very bright even with the brightness turned low-off.

Movies and video are very nice, the colors are vibrant, and with a decent speaker set or nice pair of headphones, you can get a theater-like experience. The viewing angle from side to side is good, the vertical angle is a little less, but not a problem unless one is directly below it.

This monitor is a huge step up from my old 17" crt monitor, which was good itself. In the past there have been issues that have kept buyers from buying lcd monitors, but this has no issues at all with ghosting or low response times, the contrast ratio is as good if not better than any of the tube tv's in my house, the colors are alive an vibrant as well, plus I'm not killing my eyes with some flickering banshee.

I can tell no differences between this and a crt when doing normal computer activities besides the fact that there is no flickering. I especially like the show of colors when I turn my itunes to show a full screen slideshow of all of my cd's, this monitor displays them with such beauty unlike my other pc.

The only complaint I have about this monitor is that there were no installation instructions, and installing it was a little challenging. The base is also flimsy, and doesn't allow the monitor very much vertical tilt, and no horizontal tilt, leaving the monitor pretty much immovable.

This is an overall great sharp lcd, I'm glad I bought it, I has and will hopefully continue to serve me well in my computer viewing enjoyment. (or something like that)
