This Kingston card reader is an excellent peripheral drive for your computer that is able to read almost every card imaginable except XD cards. If you an Olympus or Fuji camera with an XD card, this card reader is not for you.

The dimensions are 4.5 x .8 x 5.5 inches and it weighs only 2.4 ounces. I bought mine at Amazon.com for $14.95 and it comes with an additional 3-foot USB cable to extend its use from the built in, rather short USB cable.

It is designed to support 19 card types, including SD, CF and MMC formats. It comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty and there is 24/7 tech support available. It is extremely easy to use and it is plug & play, no software installation necessary. The neat design allows the inside of the reader to slide in and out about 2 inches so that the inserted card is protected when being used. This slide control also helps to keep the slots clean and dust free when not in use.

Downloading photos is very fast. I have used it with SD cards and found it to work flawlessly. If you happen to have a card that is large, like 8GB, you might have to visit Kingston support to download a firmware update to handle large cards such as these.

The unit is small and unassuming. I have mine connected to my computer all the time using the USB cable extension and it sits on top of my tower and ready for use anytime. It is also a great travel unit because of its compact design and size. The price is great and Kingston has been a very reliable company in my experience.
