Author's Review
I received the Kodak EasyShare M340 Digital Camera for my birthday last July.  I have never had a digital camera, and am not by any means a photographer.

1. The first thing I did was install the software that came with the camera.
2. I  charge the battery. The charger has a blinking light when the camera is charging. When the light becomes steady the camera is charged. The power button is on the left side of the camera.  This button turns on the camera. The right side  on the back of the camera is the date and time setting.

3.  Press the shutter button, when the framing marks turn green I then press the shutter button completely down. I love this no more film and no more waiting for photos.  I am a 60's child so this is  great progress. Somethings are better today.

4.  I  then turn the camera on and press review, the small screen
on the back of the camera then shows me all my photos.

Description
The camera is about 8 ounces and measures about 4inches long and 2 inches wide. The camera came with an easy 8 inch lanyard for easy carrying. I like this because this makes it harder for me not to lose my camera. The camera is 10.2 mega pixels. The camera comes with charging accessories.  This is very easy to use in case I need to charge the camera. There is a 5 volt AC adapter. The adapter came with the camera.  The color of my camera is silver. The camera can also be purchased in light green.

Mode dial for Kodak  Easy Share M340
1. Smart Capture - General picture taking
2. P Program - Advanced pictures
3. Blur Reduction-  I accidental shake the camera and I can still get a good photo. I can take a photo of a moving object and this mode reduces blur.
4. Sport - this setting I use at my grandsons football game. It works great.  I could never have taken these photos with my 1965 Kodak, this is a huge improvement.
5. Panorama  - This was great when we were in the Tennessee mountains for taking wide scenes.
6.SCN -This setting could be used in any situation.
7. Video - This captures video with sound.  I am working on this setting now.

The camera also comes with a storage card, this is what holds the photos. The SanDisk is used to store the photos.  This gives optimal speed and performance for my digital camera. The camera can hold up to 500 photos with the optional 2GB SD Card.  The camera came with the USB cord that plugs into the computer tower USB port and the other end is plugged into the camera.  I can take the pictures off the camera and save them on the computer in minutes.  I have also tried making copys of photos and they have came out just beautiful. I use the Jet Print Photo paper, and I have even copied photos on plain computer paper and the photos have come out great.

My husband bought me the camera for my birthday.  I am such a good wife I had to check at Wal-Mart to see what the price was for my nice present. He knew I wanted this camera for quite some time. The camera cost about $120.00.

The camera comes with a simple instruction book. The camera has a one year limited warranty.  The camera was made in China for the Eastman Kodak Company.  This fact is the only thing I hate about the camera.

Overall

I get wonderful photos every time.  I was at my 2 gran-daughters birthday party last Saturday.  The day was very cloudy and I was not sure how these would turn out.  They came out beautiful.  It tells you somewhere on the box that the camera takes great pictures in more situations than ever before. This is all true. I have had a great experience using the camera. The pictures are clear with a very natural look. I have no blurry photos. This is probably the best camera I have ever had.  I went from black and white to color pictures and we thought that was such a great improvement, but the Kodak EasyShare M340 Digital Camera  gives one fine picture.  Thank you for reading this review.
