I wanted a grinder that had good volume. This one does, but it is very slow. I wanted something for doing 12 pots a day but I would be grinding all the time. I also can't imagine how the coffee grinds would be scattered all over; the grinder generates a wicked amount of static and the beans stick to everything. It's likely the real dry winter air that's making that worse. It's frustrating; however, I've found that knocking the grounds into a ziplock sandwich bag and then into a basket filter works well for cutting down the mess and static. The ziplock is also handy if I grind extra.

We've done 10 pots of Starbucks coffee today and the flavour was GREAT. Grinding is always the way to go to get the best taste. My blade grinder died from the heavy daily demand, we'll see how long this one lasts at about 12 pots a day.

Also, I do notice that the grounds do not get as hot with this grinder when compared to the blade grinder. This is the purpose of burr grinders and the it appears to be validated under experimentation.

It's fine for home use.
