Batman Lego For DS
| Author's Rating: |
|
Pros: good game play, interesting, kept my interest and was not boaring
Cons: the hard areas was almost too hard
The Bottom Line:
Good game with reply ability, becouse you can keep going back and play with differant characters, which changes the game play
ESRB Rating: E10+ for Mild Cartoon Violence
Published by: Warner Bros. Interactive
Developed by: Traveller’s Tales
Release Date: September 23, 2008
Genre: Action
Local Play: 2 Versus
Story: basically Batman catching the villain from whatever movie they were from and for the Villain to get away with whatever major theft they were trying to pull from the movie in general. There are some bad guys that were not in any of the movies.
The Basics: Characters you can play in the game. Bane, Barbara Gordon, Batman, Catwoman, Clayface, Dick Grayson, Harley Quinn, Joker, Killer Croc, Killer Moth, Mad Hatter, Mr. Freeze, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Riddler, Scarecrow, Two-Face, Alfred Pennyworth, Hush, and Tim Drake
Controls: Character controls +Control Pad = Move character ; A button = Batarang/Special; B Button = Jump; X Button =Tag; Y button = Attack;
Vehicle controls: +Control Pad = Drive; Y button/L button = Fire primary weapon; X button = Boost; R button = Fire secondary weapon
Gameplay: Like most of the Lego games you have the story mode and the free play mode. You must complete the story mode first before you can play the free play mode. Like the other Lego games you can play as any of the characters during free play, which you will need to, do because it is the only way to get at some of the Lego’s. There are thirty levels to play in the story mode fifteen for each side hero and villain. Each character has their own abilities that are useful in the game. You will have to find out when you pay the game. There is too many to put in here.
As you go along you will also find secrete levels and hidden Lego’s. Try and collect as many Lego blocks as you can. This will allow you to buy things in the bat cave that will help you it later levels like getting more Lego bricks or buying a character to use on a level to get an extra Item that you could not get before.
Overall game play is fun and not hard, but not hard on the whole. There are some levels and areas that are hard with some that are very hard. The very hard ones require some split second timing and/or hand eye action. Over all I thought it was a fun game and have played it over again.
Extras: Batman extras can be purchased with Lego studs from the Batcomputer. Before you can purchase an extra it must be found in the game, which is the Red Power Bricks that are hidden within the levels. The Nintendo DS version offers touch screen interaction, and two-player co-op using the DS local wireless network capability
Graphics: the graphics are real good 3D world.
Sounds: Sound is good and the sound track is not so repetitive
Summary: over all if you are a Lego fan and liked the other Lego games you will not be disappointed by this one. If you are just a Batman fan you will like it also.
