The Linksys Instant Broadband EtherFast Cable/DSL Router is the perfect option to connect a small group of PCs to a high-speed Broadband Internet connection or to an Ethernet back-bone. Configurable as a DHCP server, the EtherFast Cable/DSL Router acts as the only externally recognized Internet device on your local area network (LAN). The router can also be configured to block internal users' access to the Internet. Unlike a typical router which can only share 100Mbps over all its connections, the Linksys EtherFast Cable/DSL Router is equipped with a blazing 4-port EtherFast Switch, dedicating a breakneck 100Mbps to each and every connected PC.

Pros: It works, easy to get going
Cons: Longevity
The Bottom Line:
Buy it since it works, and is easy to get going.
This product is left on 24/7 in a cool area on top of a desk, without anything sitting on top of it. This is important since it needs to dissipate its heat.
However, even with this setup, the router managed to have an irrecoverable failure with its hardware. The unit was reset, and never managed to come out of initialization. The customer service at Linksys was as helpful as they could be.
So, even though it died on its own, I still bought another one just because the features were what I wanted, the price had come down, it looked nice, it matched the Linksys Cable modem, and customer service was good. Perfect except for the hardware failure (most likely the re-programable chip). Plus, I couldn't get the D-Link and a couple other routers to work.
