If you love football or sport type games, you can't go a day without playing Madden NFL 2001 for PS2.

OVERALL - I am not a sports/game fan but this game has me addicted with its fluid motion and great graphics. There are allot of plays to chose from. The controls are easy to master, there are allot of cool moves like juke. Another cool thing is how the stats are so in depth in Madden 2001. During the season you can trade for players.

There are some game modes like quick play where the computer randomly picks 2 teams from the list another game mode is franchise this allows you to select one or more teams and play them. When you play games against the comp you get challenge tokens. You get these when you pass 30 yards or sacking the opponent’s quarterback.

After the game is over you can buy packs of Madden Cards. These cards will boost player’s stats, unlock secret teams and stadiums, and boost overall team performance during the game.

I don’t have PS2 but my friend does and when I walked in his room and saw the TV I thought it was a real game that’s how good the graphics are you can even see the expressions on the coaches faces and the players faces when they make good plays or when they have an incomplete passes.

Music is mostly a mix of catchy rap tunes. Commentary is bad in this game. Sports games try to make commentary to sound good but nothing matches the real thing.

I love this game and I play it all of the time with my friends.

I recommend this game to everyone, I'm not a sports fan but I’m hooked on this game!
