The best fps on the pc(in my opinion)

Pros: really fun game. can run on mid end graphics cards. Beautiful graphics

Cons: will not run properly on nvidia cards below the fx 5900xt.

Buy this game if you want awesome action and graphics. If you have a geforce fx 5200 stay away!!

I do not have an xbox but I really wanted to play Halo. It finally came out for the pc. It plays really well and the graphics are amazing. The animations are really well done(even at 30 fps). Anyway in the game you play as master chief a super soldier created to kill the covenant, a group of aliens trying to destroy mankind. The story is nothing spectacular but it will keep you interested. There are not many cutscenes in the game either. The game has ten weapons. To name a few you have a cool marine assault rifle, a pistol with a scope(odd), plasma rifle, and many others. What ticks me off is that you can only carry 2 weapons at a time. Perhaps the best part of Halo is the vehicular combat. It is so good I cant describe it in this review.

You probably saw other reviews and how they said you need a top of the line pc to run this game. That is not true. Here are my system specs:
Amd Athlon 3000 cpu 2.167 ghz
512mb ram
Radeon 9600xt graphics card.
This game runs very well with resolution of 800x600 on a radeon 9600xt. It runs at a constant 30fps and NEVER hiccups. If you play it at higher resolutions it will play at 25 frames per second. A radeon 9200 runs this game at 800x600 at 30 fps with all the graphical settings at medium(it will look like the xbox version). And finally on a radeon 9800xt or pro 256mb cards this game runs at 60 fps at 800x600. The only nvidia based cards I can reccomend that can actually play this game are the geforce fx 5900xt which performs better than the radeon 9600xt. It cost $229. Or a geforce fx 6800 ultra which costs 500 bucks. But it runs the game at 100 fps at 800x600.
