This is a great step up.It comes with hard drive instead of buying an Xbox 360 Arcade, which does not come with a hard drive, but instead a 512 MB memory unit(it may or may not be preinstalled in your unit).It has a 120 GB hard drive which will is more than enough room for DLC (downloadable content). It has a huge selection of games. The new black color makes this console sharp. The online community is nice for most of the part. you can also download family game night and play classic board games on your console. You can join your friends online or even make new friends all over the world because of the online community. Setting this bad boy up only takes a few minutes and its off to races. Even though Xbox Live membership is not free(it is not required, but recommended) you can always use your xbox without it. The games include some of the Xbox exclusives including the Gears of War series and the Halo series. This console is great. You can even watch videos on it when you subscribe to Netflix. There is also a Facebook application on your Xbox so if you have a Facebook you can check it while your on your Xbox. You can also get a wireless modem for the back of your xbox so you can use wireless internet. I have one myself and i highly recommend it.
