Pros: Quietness, Variable power, lightweight.  Quality overall seemsvery good compared to others. 

Cons: The cord.   Its just too short for my house.

This is one of those old saying and in this case true.  You getwhat you pay for.   Miele is worth the price

For years have heard about Miele Vacuums.   The price is what kept me from purchasing one.   The brands I have gone though and tossed out.   So thought will try the Miele stick Vac, since my Hoover would overheat and turn off.  Was extremelypleased with that unit, quality, noise level and cleaning ability.
So I went going to get me a canister.  After a full day reviewing and searching the best price online.   Ordered the Neptune. Very Very pleased,  well worth the price.   Number one on mylist was quietness.  The variable motor allow for selecting just the suction you need.  I have never owned one this quiet before.  Next up was attachment for all tile and cat hair.  The base attachments for the Neptune were perfect.  They  had guides to reflect what your needs were and direct you toward them.  One finding the most useful for me is the parquet attachment.   Also on my list was light weight and ease to get around furniture.   Again this Vac is better than anything owned before,  it swivels easily, both the nose and motor unit.Its just does not seem to get lodged like some other brands have had. Extremely pleased with this brand, model,  even if does have a high price, its worth it.  
Wish made the purchase sooner.   I would have saved more than the extra cost of the Miele.
