Perfect mid-range camera between amateur and pro

Pros: Great battery.  Accepts SD cards and works well with them. Quite acceptable lens.

Cons: High cost considering it is not pro level. Too many useless menu options.

If you are tired of the limits of the snapshot digital cameras but not willing to put out thousands of dollars for a pro set, this is a great choice.  With the kit lens this gives you a wide variety of apeture stops, shutter speeds and exposure steps to get you exactly the photo you want.

One disadvantage, I don't think is even solved by other comparable cameras so maybe it's not valid -- but I felt like it should allow you to adjust both the aperture *and* shutter, automatically switching priority depending on which one you decided to set manually.  That is, on the fly.

The other problem was that I found I would accidentally press buttons as I held the body to my eye and ended up missing some pictures while I moved it away to un-press whatever button got hit.
