Pros: Ease of use, variety of settings.
Cons: Stabilizer, blurry, orange pics.
The Bottom Line:
Good non-professional camera.
I purchased my Nikon Coolpix L100, because I found it on sale at half the regular price and wanted something a little bigger, because I have arthritis in my hands and the smaller cameras are hard to hold and manage. With the nice large grip area it feels more comfortable on my hands although sometimes I miss the shutter button and do press the on/off button.
I found this camera fairly easy to use for a beginner like myself and not looking at the guide that comes with it unless seriously needing it. I put batteries in and pointed at the object, took the picture and there is was on the nice big 3" screen. Sometimes the pictures had some grainy and orange look, but I soon messed around with the many added features and found just the right setting for me. I have since taken several nice pictures and with practice have learned the different setting per different environments.
The one thing I found very annoying is the blurry pictures. There is a stabilizer on this camera and I have very shaky hands. This will only sometimes work for me. Other times it seems that no matter what setting I have it on, if it is a moving or still picture, there is a lot of blur. If I were to use these pictures as abstract art they might be very interesting. :)
Over all, I very much enjoy my camera. I definitely feel that I got what I paid for after looking around at the other prices and styles of cameras.
