Nintendogs is one of the original games released with the Nintendo DS console. Its a simulator of puppies that never grow up. The game comes with a variety of breeds of pups, but the game expands to more breeds as you progress through the game.

The game itself is pretty self explanatory. You buy a puppy and proceed to feed it, groom it, train it and walk it. After some training you can put it into competitions such as agility trials and disc competitions. It takes a bit of time to train the puppies but its worth it because the more trained they are the more money they can raise and this in turn gives you the opportunity to purchase more pups, accessories or interior designs for your house.

You can have up to three different pups living in your house at one time plus a few more in the puppy hotel. Having a few different dogs gives you a bit of variety because the puppies need rest time between walks and competitions.

This is a great game for the first timer and those who have been playing on a DS game for a while. Its not really tailored for a specific age demographic so anyone can play this funky little game.
