Another amazing Zelda game

Pros: replay value, animation style, gameplay
Cons: some timed dungeons
The Bottom Line:
If you're a fan of the Zelda series, don't hesitate to buy this one.
Phantom Hourglass lives up to its Legend of Zelda status - with the classic Zelda adventure style, awesome dungeon bosses, and tons of side quests and mini games to keep you playing long after you've beaten it. To beat this game 100%, it might take a whole week or two longer.
As a sequel to The Wind Waker, it builds off the previous game's sailing feature, but massively cuts down on the amount of sailing time required, which was a pet peeve of many gamers. The map is downsized, but there are still plenty of islands to explore. Players now go through a mini-game in order to salvage treasure, and a classic Zelda past-time - fishing - has been added to your list of things to do at sea. Players collect "power gems", 60 total, which add extra strength to your character and can be the difference between losing and winning against a boss. A slight change to classic Zelda gameplay is that you collect heart containers, not heart pieces on your travels, (so every one you find increases your life capacity) which is part of the downsizing of this game for handheld format.
Players can also spend a great portion of their time collecting ship parts which are used to customize the look and power of their ship. There are many different styles of ship, from a demonic-looking ship to a tropical themed boat, ship parts are another fun item to collect in this game.
This game is not as dark as its predecessors (Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess come to mind), it is generally far more light-hearted and utilizes bright, artful imagery as seen in Wind Waker. But it is still as entertaining as the other Zelda games for sure.
