Three Cheers for Zelda

Pros: You get to try a new way for controlling your character.
Cons: The graphics could use some help.
The Bottom Line:
You should at least try this game.
The game Zelda and the Phantom Hourglass is a great addition to the Zelda collection. I will admit the graphics like Windwaker were childish and blocky. But the story was engaging and fun. It fallows windwaker and tells of our hero Link finding himself in another predicament. Here goes Tetra (aka Zelda) getting herself into trouble again.
Control:
The controls for the game are simple. You use the stylus and direct where Link goes. The game has a few new features; you can write on your own map. This makes the main dungeon easier in the long run. The game allows you to use all the DS features. Like blowing into the mike or yelling to get someone across a gorge to look at you. You even have to close the DS to imprint an icon on to your map.
Story:
The story is a lot like all Zelda games. Zelda gets captured or gets into trouble and Link being the guy he is will automatically jump into action. He then has to sail the seas with a sarcastic sailor to find the things that will save Zelda. He first has to find three fairies and then three precious metals to make a sword to beat the big boss at the end of the game. And in doing so he ends up saving the world as he knows it.
Dungeons:
The dungeons are pretty much the same as in other Zelda games. You have to go in a lot of temples and such to retrieve things like new weapons, fairies, or metal. And you can’t get any further in the game until you get them. This makes for really monotonous gaming. There are people like me who enjoy being told what to do to beat the game.
Conclusion:
This game may have some things that aren’t right but what game is perfect? The plot and characters were well thought out. The game may be simple but that just makes it all the better.
