Just when they have it golden...they get it perfect

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Large environments and characters that seem to have a life all their own

Cons: Tends to be frustrating in many areas

The Bottom Line:
Though it can be frustrating in areas, this is definitely the best Zelda game yet. Definitely worth a play

When I first heard of this game, I thought it would suffer from OHGs (Overhyped Horrible Game Syndrome). Then I played it, and I had to pull my foot out of my mouth for being so completely wrong.

Unlike other Zelda games that recycle the story, just adding random new pieces, Twilight Princess starts with a clean slate, then cleans house in a big way.

The environments are large and very well animated, and the characters that you meet seem to have a unique personality unique to them alone. I never found two characters that acted the same, and that surprised me.

This game introduces new weapons and items, but also revitalizes old staples of the series. This game requires thinking to complete, and though I played it, I was unable to beat the game (had to return it to the store I rented it from, and they never had a copy in afterwards), but what I did play blew me away. The dungeons are unique, requiring both fighting and thinking to complete, utilizing a variety of different weapons and items to complete the dungeon and continue your quest.

The battle system is one of the few things that remains from the 3D Zelda games, delivering an experience that none will forget for a long time to come.
