Pros: The camera body is water proof, with lens cover and a retractable lens cover.
Cons: Shutter & autofocus is very slow & can cause blurry shots even in normal mode.
The Bottom Line:
Go for the higher models as this camera is have a very slow shutter/aperture range.
I was really amazed by the simple design and also the lens cover that flips when hit the on button. It protects the lens from dirt and also accidental scratch if you drop it or hit a rough objects.
It comes in different colours but I bought the black one as it doesn't goes out of style. The back have a large LCD display that works well even in bright sunlight, the controls are simple and self explanatory.
You can choose full auto or about 10 scene selection from portrait to night photography. Another feature is the P ( Program) or the anti-shake DIS ( Digital Image Stabilization).
I bought this camera as I trust Olympus Brand, I have another Olympus hybrid model, so I decided to go for this point & shoot model based the specs. My only dissapointment was the camera shutter is very slow, even in sports mode, it doesn't capture the action.
The problem with this camera is its the lower end of the waterproof models, the shutter and/or autofocus is very slow and can cause a blurry shots even in normal shootings conditions.
I believed that the shutter and aperture range is limited compared to similarly priced models of the competitive brands. I wish Olympus would address with this problem.
