Pros: Looks pretty.
Cons: Does not play well with the software required and supplied by Philips.
With the wide selection of mp3 players available today at low prices, there's no need to hassle yourself with Philips. After more than 40 minutes on the phone with their support center, including speaking with the support supervisor the problem with my mp3 player remains unresolved. Even after I told them I had updated the firmware, had updated the device manager, had updated the Media Converter software (which is required to manage their obscure video format of ".smv") - their only suggestion to resolve my issue was to "try it again". The support supervisor even left me with only this option.. how's that for support? My computer system is plain ol' Vista, nothing special, and I'm very adept at handling drivers and managing devices. This Philips player simply does not function as advertised.
