The Bottom Line:
This DVD player works great for what it is for.
This Pioneer DVD-420V-K Player has been a great DVD player with great picture and sound. I have owned it for about a year and have had no problems with this. I purchased it after my previous DVD player fell apart after having it for only six months. I looked around at the higher end electronic stores, but the DVD players there were all too expensive and I ended up at a discount retailer. The one thing that sold me on this player other than the price was the one year warranty on both parts and body.
It has a very quite motor so doesn’t make much sound when running also. This DVD contains a nice LED screen but it is not as informative as other DVD players. It contains control buttons on the front so you don’t have to worry if you lose remotes just as easy as I do.
The one negative thing about this DVD player is that it takes a lot longer to start it up then most DVD players. Once you get it started though the responsiveness is very quick. This device is also very slim and sleek so is very easy to move from room to room and also to fit into TV stands. The color black makes it so it doesn’t get scratches as easy and also does good with hiding fingerprints. Only bad thing about the color black is that dust shows up on it really good. So keep out the dust rag!
It has been fairly easy to learn and assemble. It would be perfect for those you have a hard time understanding and knowing electronics. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
