The Remington F4790 Men's pivot and flex foil shaver features advanced pivot and flex technology for an ultra-close, ultra-clean shave. Remington F-4790 Electric Shaver
Remington has finally quieted down their shaver. The F4790 shaves close, without causing shaver burns. I also use Braun Norelco and Panasonic shavers. After shaving with the F4790, I went over my face with my Panasonic ES8168 and there was nothing left behind by the Remington. Good job Remington. This shaver is great as a primary or backup shaver.
I bought this shaver to add to my stable. I like to keep switching every month between shavers. Most Remington products prior to this were very noisy. While not as quiet as a Norelco, you no longer need ear plugs. I’ve found most Remington foil shavers are quite good. This one shaves almost as close as my TF600.
I like the fact that you can clean the shaver by running it under the faucet. I’d still use the cleaning brush prior to using water. I might try the trick I can use on my Panasonic and squirt a little liquid soap on the foil and turn the shave on for a few seconds. That really cleans out my ES8168
The one thing I do not like is the lack of a travel pouch. That just seems to be cheap on Remington’s behalf. The package I bought contained a shaver stand. I would gladly trade that for a pouch. If this was my sole shaver, I could use the stand at home but that still leaves you in a bind when traveling.
