I was on the market for an inexpensive small digital camera.  I already had a fancy professional one so I wanted one just for the times that I wanted something small to carry around that would deliver quality photos.  The Samsung L100 does the job.

It's fairly small and lightweight and wasn't too expensive, I paid around $50.  It has 8.2 mega pixes so the photos are of pretty good quality and the camera can store a lot of photos.  Also it lasts a pretty long time without having to recharge it often.  It has all the basics - zoom in and out feature, night feature to take better photos when there's little light, a manual feature for when you want to manipulate the photo, a portrait mode that focuses on the subject matter and there's even a feature to help reduce shaking.

One of the best aspects of this camera is it has a photo help guide that will tell you when and where you can use each feature to get the best photo. Also I was surprised at how well the video feature works, it's actually one of my favorite things about the camera.

The only bad thing about the camera is you have to remember to click on the red-eye reducer or it will give you red eyes in all your photos.  I think this feature should be an automatic.  Also with all of these small cameras, the built in flash is always so overpowering that everyone ends up looking very washed out.  I think all small snapshot cameras have this problem.  Other than that, the camera is great for the price and takes quality photos.
