The title of my review pretty much sums up how I felt the first time I opened the box of my new SanDisk Sansa Fuze. But...would it live up to my high expectations...a.k.a. my seemingly champagne taste on a beer/wine cooler budget? YES.
This is defintely an mp3 for the recession. This is a fantastic player at a fantastic price. I am just amazed at the superb sound quality and size of memory. I have uploaded about eighty-four songs so far...(Calm down, I did say it was new. I am adding more!!) The uploading process is incredibly easy. I taught myself. I am also NOT very tech-savvy.
I would say that this is the perfect player for someone like me or for someone who appreciates the qualities I appreciate in technology- that is, something simple, efficient, and inspiring. I am mostly interested in uploading songs on this unit, and if I were interested in uploading movies and larger files, I would probably upgrade my memory on this. Also, the screen is a little too "CUTE" for movie-viewing. However, the 4GB is perfect for music, and plenty of it!! It conveniently pops into my axillary outlet in my car (as I sing to myself and am given strange looks), hooks up to my BOSE at home (while I am dancing and whipping up culinary masterpieces), keeps me motivated while working on the computer (while charging at the same time!) and travels with my ear buds and I, wherever we go.
The screen size is about 1 1/4" tall by 1 3/4" wide and the unit, itself, is about 3 1/8" long by 2" wide (awwww...it's sooo cute!) You can change unit settings, music settings, add/upload voice, upload movies, photos, music, and listen to the radio! Navigating the options and settings is very easy (completed by the wheel and center button) and the battery lasts quite a long time. I had mine powered for almost two days straight, using it while working, driving, at home, etc...
Simply stated, this is the perfect player for someone who wants a simple, affordable, and high-quality mp3 player...and of course, wants a conveniently small and CUTE one! There is something so valuable about a petite device that will play only your beloved tunes at your demand. BUY IT!! It is worth every penny. This is one of my proudest purchases this year. It may even cause one to dance a little more...
Enjoy your favorite tunes...it's the simple things in life. Remember that.
