The Sansa e260 is built with tough titanium alloy that serves a dual purpose: sexy style, and unprecedented durability. The Sansa e260 can take a licking and keep on ticking and with battery life of up to 20 hours, that’s a whole lot of ticking on a single charge. Store photos, videos, and music on the built-in 4 GB of flash memory that’s expandable with a microSD memory card. The entertainment doesn’t stop there, you can even listen to your favorite radio stations with the FM tuner if you manage to reach the end of your 1000 song library. Priced right and filled with features, the e260 is another noteworthy digital media player from SanDisk. Minimize

I like it

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Fm-Tuner, Not much bigger than the nano but more durable, SD EXPANDABLE MEMORY SLOT

Cons: Stiff wheel, Charge via USB, Buttons little awkward, Record button easily pressed, Fewer Accessories

The Bottom Line:
Efficient product. Serious IPOD contender. Get some thin plastic covers to protect your viewing screen.

The flaws really aren't that big of a deal and can be easily compensated for. The charging VIA the USB can be fixed with an adaptor which can be bought pretty much anywhere and from any company. I think the wheel will become easier to handle after awhile and you get used to the buttons. The record button is the only thing that bugs me a little but even then isn't that big or a problem. I'm sure that once Sandisk products grow in popularity that there will be more accessories available.
I didn't bother to read the instructions and from what I had heard it was easier to transfer music through Window's Media than through the given software. After a little trial and error (where I thought I had killed it) I got the hang of transferring and deleting. I have to agree that Windows Media is easier to work with (just sync everything). The software included was annoying because it wouldn't show any of my music in the MP3 format, I'm not sure if it just didn't support that type or if it was human error. For video's, however, the included software was easy to work with.
The sound quality is very good and it has preset and custom EQ settings. The included earbuds hurt my ears (but so do any type of earbud) so I just used a pair of sony headphones (that I happen to love).
I highly recommend the Sandisk. It performs well and looks cool to boot! I bought mine at buydig.com and it included a full manufacturers warranty.
