I bought the Sony BDP-S360 at Dell.com for $99 with free shipping.  The BDPS360 requires firmware update which can easily be done by just googling firmware update for this model.  Just simply plug the Blu-ray player to your TV, computer with an internet connection and just follow the instruction on the website.  Very easy and simple.

I own a PS 3 and turning on the PS 3 to the starting the movie is quite fast and smooth, while my Sony BDP S360 seem to take a little longer but it's not quite as bad as some people make them out to be.

If you are looking for a Blu-ray player that streams Netflix movies, look elsewhere.  I found that the picture quality of Blu ray disc movies have been quite good.  To my unprofessional eyes, I can't tell the difference between my PS 3 and Sony BDP S360 as far as Blu ray disc are concern.

I've read reviews on Amazon.com saying that the Sony BDP S360 does not do well is the upconversion of standard DVD and I'll have to agree with that statement.  It was quite disappointing.  I tested it against my Marantz DV4001 DVD player, playing "Finding Nemo".  The Marantz showed extremely vibrant and colorful picture quality as it jumps out at you.  The Sony BDP S360 picture was darker and less vibrant.  Kinda dull and does not jump at you.

As far as sound goes I'm not sure if the qaulity is from the effects of the blu ray player or my $4K Home Theater surround sound.  I tested the sound quaility against my Marantz DV4001 and I couldn't tell the difference.

Overall, it's a decent entry level brand named Blu ray player.  It doesn't knock your socks off using DVD disc but it was good enough for Blu ray movies.  Definately, a bang for the buck.

Note:  For some reason, I had issues with Monoprice.com HDMI cables on this Sony BDP S360.  It was causing the movie to glitch through out the movies.  I had to switch to a different HDMI brand and works fine now.
