Pros: The pictures are great when retrievable
Cons: The flash or memory sticks randomly become corrupted rendering the pictures irretrievable
Maybe its just my camera, but after about a year of owning it, it started corrupting the files on the memory sticks. We replaced the memory sticks and reformatted the old ones thinking that was the culprit but every reformatted and new memory stick would randomly have a problem reading the data, so hundreds of pictures have been lost. The operation of the camera; the feel, the ease are all top notch, but if you can't retrieve the pictures you are taking, then the camera is worthless. This problem is inconsistent, sometimes it happens and sometimes not and maybe there is a fix for it I don't know. We, over the years have had a lot of experience with Sony; camera's, cam corders, DVD players, and it seems like the quality of the products are great for a short season and then they just after about a year begin having problems. I know other products might also have similar performance, but as a consumer whether I am spending $200 or $2,000 on a product I am not buying it as a disposable product to last a year. I expect better quality than that.
