Pros: Beautiful pictures outside and is very fast. The rechargeable battery is a must! 

Cons: It's more difficult to get a great picture inside but it gets the job done.

Sony hx1 grainy photos, and worse under low light conditions, not recommended for the$

Pros: -Great feel, nice weight, easy navigate controls, good zoom
great video hd, panorama feature is ok

Cons: - Grainy aweful pics Intellegient auto and easy photos were worse

Bottom Line:
The Sony Hx1 is not a great camera for quality photos, grainy noisy photos was all I could produce.  I returned it and would not recommend it.
